AICD Implements A New Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System
Associates in Cardiovascular Disease implemented a new electronic medical records (EMR) system on April 3, 2018. This new EMR, called EPIC, is used by all the physicians in Atlantic Medical Group and by the hospitals in the Atlantic Health System. The use of EPIC will help bring us closer to our goal of one patient, one record.
Your records will be transferred to our new EMR, so the transition should be seamless for you. If you currently see an Atlantic Medical Group doctor, you will be able to view your AICD records in “My Chart.”If not, we will assist you in enrolling in “My Chart” the next time you come to see your cardiologist.
When the EPIC system is fully operational, and all your data have been loaded in, you’ll have your personal and family health information right at hand on your computer or tablet. You’ll be able to message your doctor, complete questionnaires and new patient forms, schedule appointments — even attend e-visits. If you are hospitalized, you’ll still be able to access your information on EPIC, and you’ll be able to use it to stay in touch with your healthcare team, review your schedule, and ask for help. You’ll find managing your health, and that of your family, easier than it’s ever been.
We askfor your patience as we make this transition. Please bring any concerns to our attention.
