AICD Welcomes Two New Top Cardiologists

New Providence, NJ — October 9, 2017 — Associates in Cardiovascular Disease (AICD), an affiliate of the Atlantic Medical Group, is pleased to announce that Joseph J. Marmora, MD, and Todd M. Rosenthal, MD, have joined the practice.

Dr. Marmora, whose field of expertise is interventional cardiology, attended the University of Notre Dame as an undergraduate and earned his medical degree at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

“With his clinical training and focus on the latest interventional techniques such as radial procedures, Dr. Marmora is a perfect fit for our practice,” says Michael Weinrauch, MD, FACC, president of the cardiology group. Dr. Marmora did his residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center, and completed both a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.

“I wanted to come back to New Jersey, and I’m excited to become part of Associates in Cardiovascular Disease and Atlantic Medical Group. I look forward to serving my patients, and to being part of the academic center that Atlantic Health offers in cardiology,” says Dr. Marmora, who grew up in the state. He likes to surf, work out, and play volleyball in his free time, and appreciates the access to both the shore and New York City.

Dr. Rosenthal, who really is returning to his roots — his father was a founding partner of the practice — completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and earned his medical degree at the University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Rosenthal specializes in clinical cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology including cardiac PET imaging.

“We’re glad to have a Rosenthal back in the practice, of course,” says Robert Fishberg, MD, “and we’re even happier that he brings with him a thorough knowledge of the newest imaging modalities as well as a broad interest in non-invasive cardiology, including coronary disease, arrhythmia, and heart failure.”

“Working with the high quality physicians in this group is an honor,” says Dr. Rosenthal, who has always been impressed by the amount of care — and caring — the AICD doctors put into their patients, whether in a clinical, sub-acute, or acute setting. The doctor enjoys music, has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, skydives, and cycles.
